1. How many residents? We are licensed for 6 residents
2. What is required to be considered for Admissions at Ladybirds Senior Care Home?
* Must be considered to be a Senior
* Must be ambulatory not bed bound
* Able to verbalize or express their needs
3. Will you accept a person with Dementia? We will accept dementia resident as long as the person is not a risk to his/herself or staff. No wanderers or elopement will be accepted
4. I use a walker or a wheel chair will you accept me? Yes, our caregivers are trained on proper transfer techniques.
5. I have a certain diet. Can you accommodate me? We work with your dietitian to accommodate your needs. (We do offer non-concentrated sweets, & no salt diet).
6. Can I have my meals in my room ? We like to have all residents eat in the dinning area , this gives the residents time to socialize and also allows the staff members to monitor nutritional intake.
7. Can a family member stay over night ? We can make the exception to help the resident to become familiar with their surroundings as long as their is space .
8. What is the caregiver ratio to resident? Our caregiver ratio to resident is 1:4. We have one of the lowest ratio in the industry.
9. Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid? At this time we only accept Private pay, Veteran benefits or Long Term Insurance.
10. Do you accept Hospice in Spring ?
Yes! We are all about the Quality of life and take one day at a time working closely with your care team.
11. Is this a nursing home?
No, we do not do any nursing or personal care. We are a licensed retirement home for seniors that is staffed 24 hours a day to give support to the resident. We will work closely with your medical team providers in your support plan as a supportive role partner.
12. What type of person would not be a good fit for the retirement home ?
Because we offer a shared living environment we have to make sure the individual moving in particularly if the individual is in a shared room that there are no behavior issues that would make the other person sharing the room uncomfortable or unhappy. Example of an individual who has sundowners would not be a good fit in a shared room environment. Some sundowners would need to be in a private room or in a facility that is not as independent living due to the changes of behavior.
13. What do I need to enroll ? We would first set a time for you to tour our facility and ask questions.
We would also need to ask questions ensuring that the individual would both be a good fit for our home. This also gives you an opportunity to see how happy our residents are.
Once you decide on Ladybirds , we would need a non refundable community fee. This fee will hold the bed for 4 weeks . Lastly we would coordinate on the move in date .
